The main concept behind the YLIN stool is to give a new form to valuable waste. Portugal is the world’s largest cork producer, and therefore the main culprit in wasting this rich and traditional material. By giving a new use and shape to leftovers, the YLIN stool was created. Since cork is the main material, the object has suitable characteristics for outdoor use, including: light-weight, waterproof and durability. It is stackable and does not require glue for assembly. Besides its resting purpose, the stool can be quite fun to use. In fact, the slight inclination on the bottom allows it to spin, granting it a dynamic and a playful character.
